Honoring a Foundation and Leading a Movement of Aspiration
I worked for a year at a financial services company as a contractor on their video production team. At the time of my start, they were in the midst of a huge transition in branding. This company, SEI, has been around for over 50 years making a huge impact on the greater Philadelphia area. The founder, Al West, is a legend in the industry, locally, nationally, and internationally. The years of growth, development, and legacy this company worked so hard to build needed to be honored in the new brand and logo. I was late to the process, and by the time I got started, the logo had been created, the colors sorted out, and the vision in place, it was up to teams like mine to take the new brand and bring it to life in practice.

Doing my part
Although video production, editing, and animation were a huge part of my impact on this rebrand, most of the time I was hunkered down in a room noodling around with little objects, colored backdrops, and a camera. I had a blast. I put together a bank of 'object photos' as we called them using backdrops in the foundational and aspirational colors the brand team had solidified. The result is a fun collection of purposeful pieces of art to be used to help tell SEI's story moving forward.
